Anna M. Antonacci, 101, formerly of Riverton, IL, died Tuesday, November 13, 2023, at the Timbers Assisted Living Community in Shorewood. She was born on March 16, 1922, in Springfield, the daughter of Paul and Nancy Pambianco Paoni. She married George A. Antonacci on December 31, 1939 and he preceded her in death in 2000.

She is also preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Frank (Helen) Paoni, Marino (Ann) Paoni, Dominic (Louise) Paoni, Geno (Doris) Paoni, Erman Paoni, Elizabeth Scipioni, Jean (Bert) Mlaker, Jessie (Arvo) Korhonen and Mary (John) Frasco.

She is survived by one son, David (Patty) Antonacci of Shorewood; two grandsons, Brian (Jamie) Antonacci of Geneva and Brad (Penny) Antonacci of Oak Park; four great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Samantha, Ben and Ryan Antonacci; and several nieces and nephews.

Anna was a lifelong resident of the Riverton Community. Along with her husband, she was an active member at St. James Catholic Church and in the Riverton Knights of Columbus. She provided for her family as a homemaker and was known for her delicious Italian cooking. She loved her family dearly and did anything she could for them.

Private services for family and friends were held at Staab Funeral Home - Springfield and burial took place at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
