Brett W. Davis, 24, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026, at his home. He was born February 4, 2002, in Springfield, the son of William and Rhonda (Hinton) Davis.

 He is survived by his parents, William and Rhonda Davis of Springfield; Fiancé, Cassidy Scheina of Springfield; one daughter arriving in September; one sister, Breann Davis of Springfield and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

 Brett is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

 He is a lifelong resident of Springfield and a 2020 graduate of Lutheran High School and graduated from Lincoln Land Community College in the HVAC program.

 Brett is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was working as a HVAC Technician for Mike Williams Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning & Sewer.

 Brett was the recipient of the 2016 Trinity Lutheran School Christian Citizenship Award. He played soccer and basketball in high school and went on to earn the 2017 Lutheran High School Rookie of the Year Award and the 2020 Joe Voightmann Memorial Award. Brett also loved to go boating, fishing, and being with family and friends in his spare time.

 Visitation: 10 am – 12 pm, Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

 Funeral Service: 12 pm, Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield. Burial will follow at Old Salem Cemetery. The family will host a luncheon immediately following the burial at the Lake Press Club in Springfield.

 Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Lutheran High School.
