Carrie M. Eichen, a spirited and kind soul, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025, at Springfield Memorial Hospital. Born on June 15, 1976, in Carlinville, Illinois, Carrie's infectious enthusiasm and unwavering kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.
Carrie was a woman of strength which guided her through life's challenges and triumphs. Her devotion was evident in her daily actions and the love she shared with her friends and community. Carrie's passion for gardening it was a reflection of her ability to cultivate beauty in the world around her.
She was a proud alumna with a Bachelor's degree. Carrie's educational journey was a testament to her dedication and hard work.
Carrie was preceded in death by her father, Joseph A. Cole, Sr., and her son, Christopher Lee Cole. She is survived by her mother, Carol L. (McKinney) Cole of Gillespie; her daughter, Rachael Cole; her fiancé, Daniel Schumacher of Springfield; and her three siblings, Joseph A. Cole II and Lori Dillon, both of Gillespie, and Jolene Mansfield of Tennessee.
Her presence will also be deeply missed by her many friends and mentors. Carrie's ability to connect with people from all walks of life was one of her most remarkable qualities.
Carrie's legacy is one of love, service, and faith. Her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her, and her memory will be cherished forever.
We celebrate the life of a woman who was truly one of a kind. Her spirit will remain a beacon of light for all who were touched by her grace and kindness. Carrie's journey on earth may have ended, but her story will live on in the hearts of those she loved. Rest in peace, dear Carrie, until we meet again.
Funeral Mass: 11:00 am, Monday, November 24, 2025 at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with the Very Reverend Brian Alford officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.\Memorial donations may be made to Staab Funeral Home for funeral expenses or Helping Hands of Springfield.
