Cecelia DiLello Kulavic, 87, of Springfield, IL, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at her home. Cecelia was born on February 15, 1937, in Springfield, the daughter of John Egizii and Cecelia Rainaldo Egizii. Cecelia married her first husband and father of her children, Anthony DiLello on June 17, 1958, and he preceded her in death. She later married, Charles “Chuck” F. Kulavic on August 23, 1974, and he also preceded her in death.

Cecelia is survived by her children, Joseph DiLello of Springfield, Antoinette “Nonny” (Mark) Moscardelli of Springfield and Mary DiLello (Dave) White of Springfield; seven grandchildren: Tiffany DiLello, Tony DiLello, Nicholas (Greta Rothwell) Moscardelli, Reid (Shelby) White, Elizabeth DiLello, Michael Moscardelli, and Elena White; one great-grandchild, Gemma Cecelia Moscardelli; and stepchildren, Connie (Steve) Kulavic Arengo and Michael Kulavic.

Cecelia is preceded in death by her parents; husbands Anthony and Chuck; half-brother, Tom Egizii; and half-sister, Patricia Pirch.

Upon graduating from Riverton High School, she went to MacMurray College and received a music degree. She began her career as a music teacher at Christ the King Grade School and taught private lessons from home for many years. She was also a co-owner of Industrial Park Maintenance with her husband, Anthony. Cecelia eventually retired after many years from the City of Springfield in the finance department.

Cecelia was a faithful and dedicated member of Christ the King Catholic Church and was a part of the adult choir. She enjoyed entertaining and feeding anyone that came through her doors, especially loved hosting pool parties. Above all she loved being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Visitation: 9:00 – 11:00 am, Monday, February 3, 2025 at Christ the King Catholic Church.

Funeral Mass: 11:00 am, Monday, February 3, 2025 at Christ the King Catholic Church with Rev. Alex McCullough officiating. A burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Christ the King Grade School.
