Claudia J. Connelly, 65, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024. Claudia was born on February 14, 1959, daughter of Robert B. and June Clark Ausdal. She married the love of her life, Michael C. Connelly, on June 21, 1988, and he survives.
Claudia is also survived by her daughter, Molly (Drew) Wieland of Nashville, TN; sons, Thomas Connelly of Fishers, IN, Louis Connelly of St. Louis, MO, and Daniel Connelly of Huntsville, AL; grandson, Charles Connelly; sister, Laura (Robert) Carey of Naperville; and brother, Robert Jr. (Monica) Ausdal of Milan, IL.
Preceding her in death are her parents.
Claudia was a dedicated member of Christ the King Church. Claudia was a loving mother and a hardworking lawyer. She devoted much of her time to volunteer opportunities at Christ the King Church and the school.
Visitation: 4 – 7 pm, Friday, December 20, 2024 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield. A prayer service will be held at 4:00 pm.
Funeral Mass: 10:00 am, Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Christ the King with Reverend Alex McCullough officiating. A graveside service will be at 12:15 pm, Saturday at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Assumption, IL.
