Cory Michael Stewart, Jr., 22 days, passed away at 1:24 am, Sunday, November 23, 2025, at HSHS St. John’s Hospital. He was born on November 1, 2025, in Springfield, IL, the son of Cory Michael and Kailla (Bates) Stewart.

 He is survived by his parents, Cory and Kailla; twin sister, Genevieve MaryLou Stewart; grandparents, Missy and Tim Bates of Springfield, Terry Stewart of Divernon and Candice Stephens of Springfield; great grandmother, Betty Zake of Springfield; aunts and uncles, Jeremy Bates, Caitlyn, Terry Stewart, Kylie Schofield and Debbie Dodson.

 Memorial Gathering: 1 – 2 pm, Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Staab Funeral Home-Springfield.

 Memorial Service: 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Reverend Stacy Barnett officiating.

 Memorial contributions may be made to HSHS St. John’s Hospital NIC-U.
