Daniel “Dan” J. Crumrine, 51, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026, in Springfield, IL. He was born on July 11, 1974, in Peoria, IL, the son of Joseph and Barbara (Labanowski) Crumrine. He married Carrie M. Burdeau on October 9, 1999.

 Survivors include his wife, Carrie Crumrine of Springfield; son, Isaac Crumrine of Springfield; three brothers, Pat (Michelle) Crumrine of Washington, IL, Nick (Sabrina) Crumrine of Carman, IL and Tim (Lacey) Crumrine of Rushville; mother-in-law, Amy Burdeau of Carlyle; sister-in-law, Laura (Chuck) Walbert of Sherman and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

 He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Joseph Burdeau.

 Dan graduated from Eastern Illinois University and had been a resident of Springfield since 1998. Dan has worked for the Springfield Park District Golf Courses since moving to the Springfield area and was currently working as the Golf Course Superintendent.

 He enjoyed golfing, hunting and belonged to Edgewood Gun Club Trap League in Auburn. He was a Class A Member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.

 Visitation: 4 – 7 pm Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

 Cremation rites will be accorded by Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dan Crumrine Memorial Golf Scholarship. The funeral home will receive donations.
