Janet Ruth Kramp, 70, of Springfield IL, entered eternal rest on Sunday, September 7, 2025. Janet was born on March 27, 1955, in Springfield, IL to Donald and Peggy (O’Neill) Sidener. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 47 years, James M. Kramp. Their devotion to each other served as the anchor and foundation for a legacy of love and strong family bonds.

 She is also survived by her two children, Matt Kramp of Springfield and Kristi (Jared) Davison of Springfield; five grandchildren, Cole, Alina, Leon, Oscar, and Callum; sister, Donna Vogt of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Roger Vogt.

 Janet lived her entire life in Springfield; she was hardworking and dedicated her career to the service of those around her. As a graduate of Ursuline Academy, she supported the local community as a teller at First National Bank as well as a Service Manager at Jewel Osco.

 Janet had a passion for children; while juggling motherhood and a full-time job, she graduated from the University of Illinois in Springfield with a bachelor’s degree and went on to become an elementary teacher for District 186.

 She was a faith filled and dedicated member of St. John Vianney Parish and was part of the Koinonia community in Springfield.

 In her free time, Janet loved being outdoors either gardening, camping or fishing. She enjoyed thrifting, antiques and collectibles, doing puzzles, and reading.

 Janet’s greatest passion in life was her family. She was first and foremost a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Her actions highlighted her nurturing spirit and the unconditional love she shared for her family. Janet adored spending time with her children and grandchildren and treasured every moment.

 Janet was the heart of her home and family; her spirit and laugh brought light to those around her. Her deep and unwavering love for her family leaves an imprint that can never be erased.

 Visitation: 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield. A prayer service will be held at 4:00 p.m.

 Funeral Mass: 11:00 am, Friday, September 12, 2025, at St. John Vianney Church with Reverend Frederick Chima Mbiere officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
