Janice Louise Jones, 76, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 17, 1950, in Springfield, the daughter of James Boxley and Alberta Louise (Sexton) Whitlock. She married Charles E. Klauzer and he preceded her in death on May 7, 1986. She then married Kenneth Wilburn Jones, Jr., on December 23, 1988.

 She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Jones; four children, James (Ruby) Klauzer, Robert (Misty) Klauzer, Charles Klauzer II and Jennifer Jones (Kaili Stiebel), all of Springfield; seven grandchildren, Alexis and Emily Klauzer, Brandon, Abbey and Connor Klauzer and Mason and Aurora Jones; one great granddaughter, Sophia; one sister, Patricia (Doug) Sim of Springfield; her lifelong friend, Lori (Loren) Spring of Springfield and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

 Janice was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Jessica Jones; and one sister, Connie Tucker.

 Janice was a member of Destiny Church.

 Her family was the most important aspect of her life.

 A family hosted memorial service will be held at 12 pm, Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Destiny Church with a gathering to follow until 2 pm.

 A private burial will take place at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
