Jason Webster Eastep, 53 of Springfield, passed away at his residence on Saturday, June 20, 2026. He was born April 16, 1973, in Peoria, the son of Lawrence “Larry” and Karen (Stevens) Eastep.
He is survived by his parents, Larry and Karen Eastep of Surprise, AZ; one brother, Brent (Patricia) Eastep of Moraga, CA; one niece, Ella Eastep; one nephew, Benjamin Eastep; two aunts, Deb Huddleston of Springfield and Linda Davis of Temecula, CA and many cousins.
Jason has been a resident of Springfield all of his life and received his bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Illinois in Springfield. He has worked for the Illinois Department of Insurance in the financial analysis department for over 20 years.
He enjoyed listening to and following the Grateful Dead and Widespread Panic. Jason was a sports enthusiast and very knowledgeable.
A celebration of Jason’s life will be held at a later date.
