John G. Andrew, 67, of Sherman, died at 4:45 am, Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Four Fountains Nursing Home in Belleville. He was born April 14, 1958, in Springfield, the son of Robert E. and Eugenia (Walsh) Andrew. He married Lisa Davis on July 18, 1986, and she survives.

Also surviving are two sons, John William Andrew of Springfield and Evan Davis Andrew of Springfield; daughter-in-law, Jonica Sharp Andrew of Williamsville; one grandchild, John William Andrew II; two sisters, Carol (Ernie) Neilsen of Springfield and Kathleen (Scott) Knorr of Meredosia; and four brothers, Robert M. (Kris) Andrew of Springfield, Dan (Vicki) Andrew of Clinton, Tom Andrew, and Pat (Debbie) Andrew of Abington.

He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers.

John was a Union carpenter for forty-nine years, working in commercial building.

He was a member of the Carpenters Union, Central Illinois Pneumatics and Ducks Unlimited. He was an avid darts, fishing, golfer and pool enthusiast.

Visitation: 4:00 – 7:00 pm, Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home – Sherman.

Funeral Service: 10:30 am, Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home – Sherman, with Reverend Adam Rouse officiating. A burial will follow at Elkhart Cemetery in Elkhart.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
