Joseph Felber 75, of Springfield, died at 5:31 pm, Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born October 14, 1949, in Springfield, to Joseph and Virginia Staples Felber. He married Anne Asafailo on June 13, 1970, and she survives.

Also surviving are one son Benjamin (Cynthia) Felber of Chatham; two grandsons, Keeghan Felber of Springfield and Chase Felber of Hutto, TX; two sisters, Jeanne Dennis of Auburn and Pamela (Robert) Dennison of Dawson and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Patricia Sims.

Joseph was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War on the USS Nitro. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling and playing pickleball. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was greatly loved and will be sorely missed.

Visitation: 10 am – 11:30 am, Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 11:30 am, Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Pastor Bob Dennison officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
