Judith A. Day, 83, of Springfield, IL, passed away on September 18, 2025. Judith was born on September 2, 1942, in Taylorville, IL to Joseph B. and Mary Leona (Fabicheski) Sikora. She married Melvin Eugene Day on December 16, 1961, and he preceded her in death on January 17, 2001.

 She is also preceded in death by her parents; sons, James Michael Day and Dwayne E. Day; and brother, John Sikora.

 She is survived by her son, Darrel E. Day of Riverview, FL; grandson, Justin A. Day of St. Louis, MO; several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces; and cousins.

 Judith moved to Springfield in 1961 and began working at the University of Springfield as an administrative assistant. She was a woman of dedication and faith, and she attended West Side Christian Church. Judith enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting and cooking.

 Visitation: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home - Springfield.

 Graveside Service: 12:30 pm, Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Pastor Cindy Lash officiating.

 Memorial contributions may be made to West Side Christian Church.
