Judith Ann (Hauversburk) Tucker, 87, of Springfield, IL passed away at 2:45 am, Wednesday, January 14, 2026, surrounded by loving family, under hospice care at Progress West Hospital in O’Fallon, MO. She was born on March 16, 1938, in Springfield, the daughter of Vernon and Mary Kathryn (Dietrich) Hauversburk. She married Frank C. Tucker, Jr., on February 23, 1957, and he preceded her in death on September 18, 2024.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary (Steve) Dinter of St. Peters, MO, and Barbara (Roger) Bock of Sherman, IL, two sons, Gregory Tucker of Holiday, FL and Gary Tucker of Springfield; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband Frank, Judith was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother Amy (Heins) Hauversburk, and a sister, Mary Clare (Hauversburk) Barbina.
Judy was a 1956 graduate of Feitshans High School. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church where she was devoted participant in leading the rosary, and a dedicated volunteer with the Legion of Mary. Her family, two rescued cats Boomer and Angel, and music were her passions.
Judy was employed at various places throughout her life. She was employed at Franklin Life, JCPenney, and District 186. She retired from SIU School of Medicine after sixteen and a half years.
Memorial Mass: The family will host a memorial mass at 9:00 am on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date.
