Kathryn Marie Allen

Kathryn Marie Allen, 72 of Springfield, passed away at 11:20 pm, Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Springfield Memorial Hospital. She was born January 25, 1952, in Springfield, the daughter of Ralph E. and Maryann (Reddo) Price. She married Larry Allen on January 23, 1971, and he survives.

Also surviving are her two children, Jeffrey (Tina) Allen and Suzanne Allen both of Springfield; one granddaughter, Olivia Allen-Pack of Springfield; one sister, Emma Jackson of Springfield; one nephew; two great nephews and several cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Louis Price.

Kathryn retired from the State of Illinois, CMS as a buyer’s assistant and had worked at Franklin Life for many years.

She enjoyed baking and especially loved being with her family.

Visitation: 4 – 7 pm, Monday, December 30, 2024, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 10:00 am, Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
