Kay Landgrebe, 74 of Springfield, passed away at 10:58 pm, Monday, May 4, 2026, at HSHS St. John’s Hospital. She was born November 6, 1951, in Taylorville, the daughter of James and Edith (Witt) Taylor. She married Gary Landgrebe on July 8, 1972, and he survives.

 Also surviving are her son, James Landgrebe of Springfield; three grandchildren, Karly, Kelli, and Porter; one great grandson, Jay; one brother, Tony (Deanna) Taylor of Morrisonville; two sisters, Penny (Horst) Tetzel of Springfield and Pam (Mike) Brady of Caseyville and several nieces, nephew, and cousins.

 Kay is preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Helen Turvey, Charlotte Reed, and Rita Johnson.

 Kay retired from St. Francis Convent where she worked in Administration. She was a member of Riverton Christian Church and was very devoted to her bible study group there. She attended BSF at First Church for several years. Kay was an avid reader and most of all enjoyed spending time with her family.

 Visitation: 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, Monday, May 11, 2026, at Riverton Christian Church.

 Funeral Service: 1:00 pm, Monday, May 11, 2026, at Riverton Christian Church with Pastor Brian Atwell officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

 Memorial contributions may be made to the Riverton Christian Church Mission Outreach.
