Kenneth R. Morrow, Sr. 79, of Chatham died at 4:21 am, Sunday, June 8, 025. He was born July 19, 1945, in Springfield, the son of Coy Morrow and Audrey Spangle. He married the love of his life, Janice “Jan” L. Law on June 4, 1966, and she survives.
Also surviving are his one son, Kenneth (Lisa) Morrow, Jr. of Springfield; two daughters, Shawn Dial of Greenview and Kimberly (Jeffrey) Fabish of Springfield; seven grandchildren, Joshua (Abby) Morrow, Fallaen (Mike) Peters, Amanda (Jake) Erickson, Marie Young, Paige (Grant) Heckler, Logan Young and Anthony Vono; six great grandchildren, Michael, Caleb, Jacob, Nicholas, Lucy, Addison and one due in August; four siblings, Randy (Kathy) Morrow of TX, Linda Dennis of Springfield, Dennis (Marsha) Morrow of FL and Bruce (Dawn) Morrow of Tallula; brother-in-law, Mark (Karleigha) Law of MI and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Terry and Craig Morrow.
First, Foremost, and Forever Ken was a huge family man. His Bride, kids, grandkids, great grandkids and extended family were his life! His love and caring for them knew no limits.
Ken was a US Air Force veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
He was a life member of VFW Post 755 and held various positions including All State Post Commander from 1993 – 1994; All State Post Quarter Master 1990-2000; Tenth District Commander; 20 years with the Sangamon County Interveterans Burial Detail, and a member of the Chatham American Legion.
Ken was an avid hunter and fisherman which led to him being a Hunter Safety Program Instructor for 30 years; was a member of Left Handers Gun Club.
Visitation: 4-7 pm, Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
Funeral Service: 11:30 am, Friday, June 13, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor Joshua Traxel officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted.
