Lee Douglas Horrighs, Sr., 75, of Springfield, IL, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025. Lee was born on November 29, 1949, in Springfield, IL, to William and Alma (Reynolds) Horrighs.

He is survived by his son, Lee (Angie) Horrighs, Jr. of Springfield; grandson, Philip Horrighs of Springfield; life companion, Verla Hampton of Springfield; sister, Kay Owens of Springfield; close family friends, Angie (Rick) Scupham–Cook, and Wes Scupham; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his two brothers; and his two sisters.

Lee was a lifelong resident of Springfield. He was a bricklayer for 50 years and retired from Pulliam Masonry after many years of service. In Lee’s free time, he enjoyed cat fishing and hunting deer. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, as they were very important to him.

Cremation will be arranged by Staab Funeral Home – Springfield. A Celebration of Lee’s life will be announced at a later date.
