Lisa Ann Truax, 56, of Sherman, IL, passed away on July 11, 2026, at Barnes Jewish Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born on December 28, 1969, to Edmond “Butch” Clayton Fox and Monika Anna Ertl Fox. She married David Lee Truax on February 14, 1992, and he preceded her in death on November 12, 2005.

 She is survived by her long-time partner, Karen Cundiff; children, Kristy Linn (Brian) Kutzora, Jeremy (Alex) Cundiff, Ryan Lee (Amber Cramer) Truax, Shelby Ann (Nick Gaines) Truax; Erin Marie (Christian Smith) Truax, grandchildren: Zachary, Adeline, Hayden, Dustin, Rose, Rowan, David and Fatu; sister, Tina Marie Wendling; and her children Austin (Omi) Fox, Paige Wendling, and Nate Wendling.

 She was also preceded in death by her parents.

 Lisa was a 1988 graduate of Williamsville High School and resident of the area all her life. She helped families for 20 years with childcare, and was a natural at it: the kids simply loved her. They brought her so much joy.

 She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids She also loved traveling, and going to concerts. She took great pride in her home, decorating for every season and every holiday. She always welcomed friends and family with an amazing home cooked meal. When you visited with her, you always left with a smile and a full belly. Lisa always extended a helping hand when one needed it and will be missed by so many friends and family. She was a true gift from God and a blessing to so many.

 Memorial Gathering: 4:00 - 7:00 pm, Friday, July 24, 2026, at Staab Funeral Home – Sherman.

 Private inurnment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery.
