Lora M. Roscetti, 95, of Brookfield, WI formerly of Springfield, IL died at 1:15 pm, Sunday, January 19, 2025. She was born May 9, 1929, in Cahokia Township, Macoupin County, IL, the daughter of John H. and Bertha (Prange) DeVries. She married John Roland “Chili” Roscetti February 3, 1951, and he preceded her in death October 29, 2012.

She is survived by a daughter, Suzanna M. Rose of Tucson, AR; three sons, Dennis (Jan) Roscetti of Hartland, WI, Gregory (Barbara) Roscetti of Alexandria, VA and Thomas Roscetti of Jefferson City, MO; daughter-in-law, Jerilyn Roscetti of Carlinville, IL; two grandsons, Daniel and Eric Roscetti; two step grandchildren, Sarah Rowe and Melanie Dunn; two sisters, Jeanette (Frank) Hoehn of Oceanside, CA and Iris (Walter) Friesner of Mt. Olive, IL; brother, Wayne (Dixie) DeVries of Benld, IL and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, John Richard Roscetti; daughter, Lori Ann Roscetti; three sisters, Ellen Hoefker, Agnes Holderread and Wilma Sander.

Lora was a member of Church of the Little Flower and the St. Theresa Guild. She worked at Allis Chalmers and retired from Horace Mann Insurance Company after 30 years of service. Lora loved flowers and tending her plots and indoor plants. She will be remembered for her skill with violets and orchids.

Visitation: 4 – 7 pm, Monday, February 3, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Mass: 10:30 am, Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Church of the Little Flower with Reverend Al Kemme officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Church of the Little Flower or Wounded Warrior Project.
