Lorraine J. White, 86, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025, at The Grove Nursing Home in Jacksonville. She was born on October 6, 1938, in Greenwood, MO, the daughter of Lloyd and Edna (Belcher) Jessee.

She is survived by her children, Russell Givens, Jr., Cheryl (Donald, deceased) Clevenger, Cindy (David, deceased) Blankenship, and Rebecca Ferguson, all of Springfield; seven grandchildren, Michael Givens, Rachael (Brian Tabick) Givens, Jessica Ferry, Jacob Ferry, Joleen Ferry, Deborah (Dustin) Warren, and Alexis Blankenship; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Sandra (William) Heyle of Ravenwood, MO; brother, Dwight Jessee of Ravenwood, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lorrainne is preceded in death by her parents; her longtime husband, Kenneth Ferguson; and recent husband, Paul White; and great-great-grandchild, Jiraiya.

Lorraine loved sharing her love of Christ and was very involved with her church where she taught Sunday School. She attended Springfield Southern Baptist previously and became a member at First Baptist Church of Pana, IL. Along with being involved with the church, she loved sharing her talent and passion of music. Lorraine had a way of sharing her love through singing and playing the piano and organ.

She always had a smile, kind words, and never knew a stranger. She will be dearly missed.

Visitation: 4:00 – 6:00 pm, Monday, March 17, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home - Springfield.

Funeral Service: 10:00 am, Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Pastor Clint Cook officiating. A burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Springfield Southern Baptist Church or to the First Baptist Church of Pana, IL.
