Mary E. Woodrum 82, of Springfield, died at 1:15 am, Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the Villas Healthcare East. She was born April 19, 1943 in Springfield, to Raymond Isaac and Frances (Streb) Seiz. She married James Alan Woodrum on May 9, 1964, and he survives.

 Also surviving are two daughters, Lisa (Geroge) Smith of Springfield and Lynette (Bob) Langdon of Rochester; one son, Larry Woodrum of Austin, TX; four grandchildren, David and Madeline Smith, Fallyn Langdon and Inara Woodrum; three sisters in law, Chloe Seiz of MO, Janet Ross and Jenny Clinton both of Springfield and several nieces and nephews.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; four siblings, Raymond Seiz, Loretta Keeney, William Seiz and Albert Seiz and three half-siblings, Tom Seiz, Sue Neirmeier and Mark Seiz.

 Mary was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She had worked contractually with the State of Illinois Department of Revenue for 15 years and previously had worked for Illinois Bell.

 She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and cooking. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her grandkids.

 Visitation: 9:00 am – 10:30 am, Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home - Springfield.

 Funeral Service: 10:30 am, Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to Trinity Lutheran Church.
