Mary Jeannine Muchow 92, of Springfield, passed away at 9:52 am, Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at her home. She was born January 6, 1934, in Chicago, to the late Robert and Emma Schmidt Bandelow. She married Victor Muchow on February 4, 1956, and he survives.
Also surviving are five children, Tim (Sheree) Muchow of Spaulding, Cindy (Rich) Edwards of Chatham, John (Dani) Muchow of Springfield, Sandy (Dan) Rogers of Springfield, Tom (Kim) Muchow of Tower Hill; two brothers, Robert Bandelow of New Berlin and Michael Bandelow of Loami; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren with one on the way and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters-in-law; five sisters-in-law; five brothers-in-law and two sisters.
She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Ladies Aide, Altar Guild and taught Sunday School.
Visitation: 4-7 pm, Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Staab Funeral Home - Springfield. There will be an additional visitation from 9-10 am, Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Concordia Lutheran Church.
Funeral Service: 10 am, Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Concordia Lutheran Church with Reverend Michael Koschmann officiating.
Graveside Service: 1 pm, Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery in Altamont, Illinois.
Memorial contributions may be made to Concordia Lutheran Church.
