Mattie R. Luck, 75, of Springfield, IL, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. Mattie was born on December 3, 1949, in Springfield, the daughter of Russel and Mattie Lynn Anders. Mattie married Ronnie Luck on November 4, 1988, and he survives.

Mattie is also survived by daughter, Michelle Bartolazzi of Springfield; stepdaughter, Debra (Brad) Geuther of Glendale, AZ; stepson, Ken (Gwen) Luck of LaMoille, IL; grandchildren: Jade Geuther, Nigel Lizarraga, Garrett Luck, Jenna Luck; eight great grandchildren; sister, Joan Nichols of Spring, TX; brother, Russell S. Anders of Springfield, IL; granddog, Bailey Joe; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mattie is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Letha Houston; and brother Richard F. Anders.

Mattie was a faithful and dedicated member of East Keys Baptist Church in Springfield. Mattie was a receptionist at St. John’s Hospital for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed her favorite hobby and passion of photography.

Visitation: 10 am – 12 pm, Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 12:00 pm, Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Pastor Dennis Hicks officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mattie Luck Memorial Fund.
