Patricia Maxine Mayol, 91, of Springfield, IL, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Staunton Health and Rehab. Patricia was born March 7, 1933, in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Robert D. “Bud” Taylor and Mayme P. (West) Cardoni. She married the love of her life, Donald E. Mayol on October 15, 1960, and he preceded her in death on December 22, 2004.

Patricia is survived by her nieces and nephews: Diane (Tony Snow) Lauterbach of Staunton, Ralph (Ann) Schleyhahn of Naples, FL, Robert “Joe” Taylor, Jr. of Dawson, Christine (Mark Cole) Taylor of Chatham, Ruth (Scott) Andrews of Staunton, Suzie (Mike) Cutler of Dawson, Stacy Pehlman of Springfield, Leann (Craig Drone) Taylor of Taylorville, and Shelly Reeter of Sherman; and several great nieces and nephews.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Joseph (Virginia) Taylor; sisters, Roberta “Pete” Pehlman, Joan Schleyhahn, and Susan Cardoni.

Patricia retired from the State of IL and enjoyed traveling, boating, fishing, camping, and dancing.

Visitation: 11:00 am – 12:00 pm, Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 12:00 pm, Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield, with Chaplain Brad Ferris officiating. A burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
