Ramona June Barger, 88, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Westside Village Healthcare in Indianapolis. She was born on October 3, 1937, in Novinger, MO, the daughter of Dentle Eugene and Juanita May (VanLaningham) Walters. She married Wm. David Barger, Sr. on December 15, 1956, and he preceded her in death on June 15, 2019.

 She is also preceded in death by her parents and son, William D. Barger, Jr.

 She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca J. (Louis) Townsend of Avon, IN and three grandchildren, Brian Barger of Arizona, Brandon (Lana) Townsend of Indianapolis, IN and Taylor (Matthew) Marrone of Carmel, IN.

 Ramona and her husband enjoyed belting out their favorite tunes on karaoke nights, a hobby they cherished for years. In their younger years, they also loved exploring the great outdoors through camping trips together. A devoted member of Riverton First Baptist Church in Riverton, Illinois, she later found community in Indiana during her time at a long-term care facility. Her professional passions included being an active member of the Illinois Realtors Association and the American Association for Medical Transcription before her retirement.
