Richard “Dick” D. Davis, 84, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024, at The Bridge Care Suites. He was born on December 20, 1939, in Springfield to Donovan E. and Mary E. (Howell) Davis. He married Donna Davis in July of 1999, and she preceded him in death on November 30, 2023. He is also preceded in death by his parents.

Dick is survived by his three sons, Richard T. Davis of Ashmore, Gary (Kelly) Davis of Loami and Kevin (Dena) Davis of Highland; four grandchildren, Audrey (Jeff) Zachary, Tara (Chris) Rosenzweig, Austin Davis, and Mackenzie Davis; three great-grandchildren, Beau, Logan, and Jett Zachary; two sisters, Judy (Bill) Keenan and Donna (Cam) Barbian; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dick was a resident of Bella Vista, AR and after Donna passed, he then came back to Central Illinois in January of 2024. He retired from Firestone and previously had owned Davis Tire Sales. Dick enjoyed bowling and playing golf.

Cremation rites were accorded by Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
