Robert Charles “Bob” Henson, 67 of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at his home. He was born on December 31, 1958, the son of Mitt R. and Barbara (Eckler) Henson. He married Susan A. Miller on May 17, 1985.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; two sons, Ian (Marianna) Henson of Hicksville, NY and Kevin (Ashley) Henson of Sherman, IL; two sisters, Cathy Haynes and Sandra Speaks, both of Springfield; brother, Micky Henson of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother Barbara A. Crawford; father, Mitt Henson; son, Patrick Miller and sisters, Pam Richards and Tracy Bixler.
Bob was a member of Koke Mill Christian Church. He was an avid reader. Bob was passionate about music and loved being a drummer. He used his talent as a drummer as a ministry by playing for several churches in central Illinois.
He worked as a delivery driver for Kluckman’s delivery, was a manager at Denny’s and also worked at Texas Roadhouse.
No services will be held.
