Robert Esty Robertson, 84, of Riverton, passed away at 9:51 am, Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Community Hospital of Bremen in Indiana. He was born February 18, 1941, in Springfield to George R. and Margaret (Reynolds) Robertson. He married Connie A. Hammond on November 26, 1960, and she survives.

 Also surviving are four children, Jill Robertson of Riverton, George (Bridgette) Robertson of Buffalo, Doug Robertson (Lora Walters) of Sherman and Todd (Kaethe) Robertson of Springfield; nine grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren with another on the way; five great great grandchildren with another one on the way; one brother, Tony Robertson of Sherman; several nieces, nephews and cousins and his dog, Marty.

 He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Andy Robertson.

 He was a member of Riverton Christian Church and a 50+ year member of Riverton Lavely Lodge #786 where he served as a Past Master. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, hunting and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Fighting Illini fan. He retired from Peabody Coal Company in 1994 after 35 years of service.

 Visitation: 10 am – 11:45 am Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home – Sherman with a Masonic service being held at 11:45 am.

 Funeral Service: 12 pm, Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home – Sherman with Pastor Steve Pearce officiating.
