Ronald Louis Parish, 86, of Springfield, passed away early Wednesday morning April 16, 2025, at Regency Nursing Home in Springfield. He was born January 24, 1939, in Jerseyville, IL the son of John C. and Virginia J. (Hughes) Parish. He married Patricia L. Mahoney on August 19, 1961, and she survives.

He is also survived by a daughter, Lori (Timothy) House of Springfield; granddaughter, Jennifer House of Lincoln, IL; brother, Randy Parish of Overland Park, KS and several nieces and nephews.

Ronald graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1957. He served in the U.S. Army for 2 years.

He retired from the State of Illinois Department of Corrections in 2000.

Private graveside services will be held.
