Sandra “Sandi” L. Vest, 75, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at her home. Sandi was born on May 5, 1950, in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Kenneth Alan and Dolly Jean (Unverich) Hegman. She married the love of her life, Rev. Francis L. Vest on January 10, 1987, and he preceded her in death on February 14, 2018.

 She is also preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Ronald and Douglas Hegman.

 She is survived by her daughter, Renay (fiancé, Ric Robinson) Ortiz of Pensacola, FL; son, Corey (Brandon Johnson) Wickersham of Chatham; three grandchildren, Nicole (James) Sisti of Springfield, T.J. (Adrianna Bryant) Shull of Springfield, and Ashton Ortiz of St. Clair, MO; great-grandchildren, Adan Shull, Ryder Shull, Karter Shull, Zieyla Shull, Zachary Sisti, and Zayden Sisti; three siblings, Steve (Lori) Hegman of Mequon, WI, Mary (Mike) Klug of Monticello, WI, and Randy (Mara) Hegman of Menomonee Falls, WI; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 Sandi was a devoted member of Friendship Full Gospel Church and dedicated her life to being a loving wife and mother, embracing her role as a homemaker with grace and care.

 She had a generous heart and was a passionate supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, cribbage, and UNO, which often brought joy and laughter to those around her.

 Sandi was especially known for her love of Mickey and Minnie Mouse. She also had a special fondness for collecting cookie jars and salt and pepper shakers. Her warmth, kindness, and unique charm will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

 Visitation: 1:00 – 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Friendship Full Gospel Church, 1501 East Washington Street Springfield, IL 62703.

 Funeral Service: 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Friendship Full Gospel Church, with Bishop James Nichols officiating.

 Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
