Stephen Joseph Cacioppo, 74, of Springfield, passed away at 3:15 pm Thursday, August 6, 2026, at his home. He was born September 24, 1951, in Springfield, the son of Joe and Florence Fry (George) Cacioppo. He married Rhonda Williams in 2009 and she survives.
Along with his wife, he is also survived by two sons, Mario and Vincent Cacioppo, both of St. Louis, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Diana Cacioppo.
Stephen attended St. James Trade School and worked as a meat cutter. He retired from the State of Illinois after several years of service.
Per Stephen’s wishes, no services will be held.
