Willard Hugh “Chip” House, Jr., 86, of Raymond, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, IL. He was born on December 14, 1939, in Hillsboro, IL, the son of Willard Hugh and Mary Pauline (Herman) House, Sr. He married Donna Glover on January 6, 1967.

 Surviving is his wife of 59 years, Donna; three children, Scott (Laura) House of Taylorville, Travis House of Raymond and Tara (Martin Kimbro) House of Raymond; three grandchildren, Alexandria (Aaron) Herkert of Taylorville, Sean House of Taylorville and Devan House of Raymond; one great granddaughter, Adaline House; brother, Terry Joe (Charlotte) House of Pawnee and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

 Chip was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Rhondda Siddens and an infant brother Jerry Lee House.

 He was a veteran of the United States Army. Chip was a highly respected Union Ironworker with Local #46 for 38 years, a trade he always described as exciting.

 He was an avid fan of drag racing and NHRA, and also enjoyed working on cars and lawnmowers. His pride and joy was his miniature backhoe which he built from scratch. Chip always had time to share a beer with family and friends.

 Services will be held at a later date.

 Memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
