Alexander J. Shaheen, Jr., 74, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at his home. He was born on February 20, 1947, in Louisville, KY, the son of Alexander J., Sr. and Anna Rose (Ellsworth) Shaheen and they preceded him in death.
Survivors include one son, Jeff (Stephanie) Shaheen of Williamsville; two grandchildren, Dylan J. and Christopher M. Shaheen; two sisters, Sandy (Rusty) Meredith of Louisville, KY and Anessa Shaheen; and several, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Alexander was a resident of Louisville, KY for most of his life. He was a graduate of Trinity High School, in Louisville. He was a huge sports fan of University of Kentucky and University of Louisville. He especially loved to watch basketball. Alexander worked as an associate at his son’s restaurant, Jolly Tamale, for many years.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Cremation will be accorded by Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
