Allen E. Loeser passed away at the age of 96 on December 5, 2019.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Anna (Penney) Loeser; his brothers, Louis, Howard, Stuart, Edgar (Abe), and James Loeser; sister, Lorraine Matulevich.

He was drafted into the Army at age 18 and fought on the front lines. He earned several medals including three bronze stars for battles including The Battle of Luzon in New Guinea and the Philippines.

He retired from Fiat Allis as a Foreman after 44 years of service.

He was a man of great strength and embodied the “Greatest Generation”.

He played many sports throughout his life and enjoyed playing and watching baseball in particular. He was a true Cardinals fan.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Carol; sons, Allen (Joni) Loeser, Mike (Jill) Loeser, and Clint Loeser; daughter, Eden (Ken) Stroops; sister, Rita Broeker; grandchildren, Erin (Doug) Draper and Wes Stroops; great grandchildren, Ty and Ellie Draper and several nieces and nephews.

A private family service and burial was held at Camp Butler National Cemetery where military honors were conducted.
