Amelia J. Ranalletta, 94, of Springfield, died at 1:44 pm, Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at HSHS St. John’s Hospital. She was born September 20, 1929, in Springfield, to John and Amelia Roskosky Coliff. She married Guido William Ranalletta on August 20, 1949. He preceded her in death on February 16, 2021.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Mark Ranalletta and son-in-law, Gary Braham.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary (David) Carter of Winston Salem, NC, Christina Ranalletta of Hammond, IN and Janice Ranalletta of Springfield; six grandchildren, David (Hayden) and Mark (Tara) Carter, Amy and Lori Ranalletta, Katie (John) Wells and Gina Braham (Brian Mullner); eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Amelia was a member of St. Agnes Church. She retired from the Capital Development Board after 22 years with the State of Illinois. Previously, Amelia managed the Hudson’s Dime Store in Springfield, Illinois.

Visitation: 9 - 10:15 am, Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at St. Agnes Church.

Funeral Mass: 10:30 am, Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at St. Agnes Church with Reverend Daniel Bergbower officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Agnes Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
