Barbara “Barb” Kay Eldridge 63, of Chatham, died at 11:05 pm, Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Springfield Memorial Hospital. She was born October 26, 1960 in Springfield, to Howard E. and Nellie G. Neff Eldridge.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Donald L. and Jack Eldridge.

Survivors include two sisters, Janet G. (Dale) Edwards of Buffalo and Ruth A. (Larry) Woods Mechanicsburg; Special friends Fred and Sharon Kocher, Angie Embrey and Sheri Quinn; one uncle, Don Eldridge of Waverly; two nephews, Matthew D. Edwards and Jason (Carissa) Pfeiffer; one niece, Lynn (Matt) Buckles; several cousins and several great nieces and nephews.

Barb worked for thirty-nine years as a Grant’s Administrator for the State of Illinois. She loved traveling to Ft. Myers Beach.

Visitation: 10-11 am, Monday, January 22, 2024 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am, Monday, January 22, 2024 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield, burial will follow at Chatham Memorial Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Navigators or a Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
