Betty J. Behl, 78, of Springfield, died at 3:27 pm, Thursday, March 14, 2024 at her home. She was born January 11, 1946 in Springfield, the daughter of John R. and Alma L. (Follis) Duff. She married Herman H. Behl in 1975 and he preceded her in death September 22, 2009.

She is survived by two sons, Raymond Fox, Jr. and Dwayne (Kimberly) Fox, both of Springfield; ten grandchildren, Christopher Gentry, Amber Gentry, Michael Fox, Cody Samson, Marina Fox, Alexis Fox, Lauren Baxter, Michael Fernstaedt, McKinsie Fox and Elle Fox; fifteen great grandchildren; sister, Mary “Vene” Neal of Virden; two brothers, James “Jim” Duff and Bob Duff, both of Springfield and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Charles and Johnny; sister, Margaret and stepdaughter, Linda Sosinski.

She retired from Memorial Medical Center where she worked as a laundry supervisor. She was an avid Bingo player.

Graveside service: Family will host a graveside at 9:00 am, Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Indian Point Cemetery with Chaplain Don Dotson officiating.
