Betty J. Prior 95, of Springfield, died at 10:29 pm, Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Springfield Memorial Hospital. She was born December 6, 1928, in Mechanicsburg, to Jake and Pauline (Short) Powers. She married Rolly “Bub” Prior in 1945 and he preceded her in death on April 20, 1994.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary Lou Ridgeway; two daughters, Lorelei and Janet Prior and four sons, Rick, Steven, Jacob and Terry Prior.
Survivors include one brother, Jack Powers of Springfield; two daughters, Linda Angeles of Springfield and Peggy (Steve) Jones of Pawnee; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was a resident of Springfield since 1963 and previously of Mechanicsburg. Betty was a member of Buffalo Christian Church.
Betty retired as a baker for Shop and Save where she started in 1984.
Graveside Service: 11 am, Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
