Bonnie L. Henry, 76, of Springfield, passed away at 11:30 pm, Thursday, January 29, 2026, at her daughter’s home. She was born April 16, 1949, in Springfield, the daughter of George R. and Etter Lou (Sneed) Smith. She married Harold Henry III and they later divorced.

 She is survived by her companion James Marcy of Springfield; one daughter, Becky Termine of Springfield; son, Harold “Bill” L. Henry (companion, Katie Butters) of Troy, MO; five grandchildren, Trebor, Shylo, Kaitlyn, Landon and Addilyn; one sister-in-law, Linda Smith and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Paul, Billy Ray, J.T., George Bucky and Jimmy “James” Smith; three sisters, Mary Smith, Cathy Jacobs, Peggy Newtson.

 Bonnie enjoyed puzzles and scrapbooking. She was interested in genealogy and watching True Crime Shows.

 She worked for SPARC for over 23 years as a program specialist.

 Visitation: 11 am – 1 pm, Friday, February 6, 2026, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

 Funeral Service: 1 pm, Friday, February 6, 2026, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Reverend Daniel Bergbower officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

 Memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Sangamon County or Animal Protective League.
