Calvin Ray Willett, 58, of Springfield, IL passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was born on August 1, 1967, in Blytheville, AR, the son of Melvin and Barbara (Johnson) Willett. He married Wanda Harris August 7, 1993, and she survives.

 In addition to his wife Wanda, Calvin is survived by two daughters, Cheyenne Willett and Carmen Willett both of Springfield; one grandchild, Kamdyn Logan; one brother, Karl (Amanda) Willett of Oklahoma; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

 He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Anthony Johnson; and one sister, Dorothea Carter.

 Calvin earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Murray State University in Murray, KY.

 Calvin was currently employed with the City of Springfield as an account executive at Oak Ridge Cemetery. He was formerly employed with Blue Cross Blue Shield in Springfield.

 Calvin had many hobbies. He enjoyed woodworking, loved cooking, especially BBQ. Most of all he loved taking care of his family.

 Per Calvin’s wishes there will be no services. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Springfield.

 Memorial contributions may be made to the Family of Calvin Willett.
