Charles LeRoy Miller 89, of Springfield, died at 9:54 pm, Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was born September 18, 1934, in Mound City, MO, to Clyde and Dorothy Diggs Miller. He married Grace Elaine Cook on November 9, 1958 in Miami, OK and she survives.

Charles attended school in Mound City, MO. He was a retired Technical Sergeant United States Air Force with twenty-one years of service. He proudly served in Korea and Vietnam. After retiring from the military Charles worked at Garrett Aviation for seventeen years as an Aircraft Electrician. He was a life member of VFW Post 10302.

Survivors include two sons, Alan Miller of Springfield and Barry (Stephanie) Miller of Oxnard, CA; one daughter Lori (Tom) Feger of Springfield; three grandsons, Matthew and Tyler Miller of Oxnard and Alex Feger of Springfield; one granddaughter, Alyssa Feger of Springfield; two sisters, Lavona Knapp of Forest City, MO and Janice Miller of ST. Joseph, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Bobby Miller and one sister, Delores Groves.

Charles was a private and commercial pilot. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a loving father, grandfather, friend and husband, for sixty-five years.

Graveside Service: 10:00 am, Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Camp Butler National Cemetery, where Military Honors will be conducted.

In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be given to the Sangamon County Inter-Veterans Burial Detail, 2108 Palo Alto Drive Springfield, IL 62711.
