Charlotte H. Watson, 86, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. She was born December 7, 1936, in Springfield, the daughter of George L. and Hilda L. (Woodruff) Watson II.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen Watson (Gary Kimble) of Springfield; five grandchildren, Stephanie Watson, Donnell (Tasha) Watson, Lakisha Watson, Shalonda Bias, and Da’sha (Demarr) Meyers; sixteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce McIntosh of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, George L. Watson III; sister, Charmaine S. Watson; granddaughter, Marla Watson and great-grandson, Dwayne S. Davis II.

Charlotte was a resident of Springfield all her life and was a graduate of Lanphier High School. She belonged to Kumler United Methodist Church. She was a Girl Scout Leader and enjoyed playing all kinds of games.

Charlotte retired from Franklin Life Insurance as a curator. She also worked at Springfield Memorial Hospital, State House Inn and was a self-employed house cleaner.

Visitation: 10 – 11 am, Friday, December 1, 2023 at Kumler United Methodist Church.

Funeral Service: 11 am, Friday, December 1, 2023 at Kumler United Methodist Church with Reverend Don Goodenow, Jr. officiating. A burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Kumler United Methodist Church.
