Christopher Shofner 45, of Springfield, died at 11:47 am Saturday, May 18, 2024 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis. He was born December 11, 1978 in Springfield, to Richard W. and Jane (Smith) Shofner.
He is survived by his parents, Richard and Jane of Springfield; one brother, Rick (Shannon) Shofner of Athens; one sister Deb Singleton of Mahomet; 4 aunts, 1 uncle; 3 nieces; 1 nephew and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his #1 canine companion, Shiloh.
Chris was the owner and technician of Shofner Dental Lab. He was also a very talented artist and loved drag racing alongside his dad and brother.
In keeping with his kindness to others, it was Chris’ last wish to be an organ donor. As such, he was able to leave a lasting impact on the lives of at least two other individuals.
Visitation: 12 – 1 pm, Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Staab Funeral Home - Springfield
Funeral Service: 1:00 pm, Sunday June 2, 2024 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Pastor Steve Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Farmington Cemetery, Farmingdale, Illinois.
