Deborah “Debbie” Lynn Gerlach, 74, of Ashland, passed away at 1:33 pm, Friday, May 15, 2026, at her home. She was born May 11, 1952, in Beech Grove, IN, the daughter of Allen Wesley and Marjory Jean (McAfee) VanOsdol. She married Rich Gerlach on April 20, 1996, and he survives.

 She is also survived by three children, Matthew (Amy) Coryell and Lucy (Joe) Gunn, both of Chatham and Kristina (Corey) Helmerichs of Springfield; seven grandchildren, Cody Coryell, Dustin Coryell, Christian DeJaynes, Madison Coryell, Avery DeJaynes, Isabella Gerlach and Zoe Helmerichs; one sister, Mary VanOsdol-Fletcher of Indiana; two brothers, Richard (Lois) VanOsdol and William VanOsdol, both of Indiana and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Allen VanOsdol and one sister, Carla England.

 Debbie was a member of First Baptist Church. She loved Harleys and enjoyed crafting. She retired from State Farm Insurance Company after many years of service.

 Memorial Gathering: 9:30 am – 11:30 am, Friday, May 22, 2026, at First Baptist Church.

 Memorial Service: 11:30 am, Friday May 22, 2026, at First Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Mulkins officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or First Baptist Church.
