A Christian, a mom, a grandma, but known by most as Donna. Born to Harry and Merle Baggerly on February 19, 1936. She grew up with six siblings.
She married Henry Hock in 1954 and had four daughters – Rhonda, Debbie, Linda, and Jennie. She had eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She started attending Cherry Hills Church in the 80’s, and from the beginning, she felt welcome and at home. She went on a couple mission trips, one in 1987 in China, and another in 2018 to Nepal with a group of Christians from Rochester to spread the Word of Christ and attend prayer walks.
She was a strong woman. She worked as a waitress, hostess, a salad girl, and a pie maker of which she was especially proud of, up to the age of 82 when she finally gave it up.
She enjoyed working in her yard, reading, at times painting, and reading her Bible.
She went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at 9:20 am of old age, but not without a fight.
She donated her body to SIU School of Medicine. A graveside service will be held at a later date. May she rest in peace.
