Frank M. Satlar, 75, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was born on August 18, 1948 in Springfield to Frank J. and Betty Lou Thomas Satlar and they preceded him in death.

He is survived by his brother, John (Connie) Satlar of Springfield; nephew, Ian Satlar of Springfield; and niece, Adrian (James) Carlisle of Springfield.

Frank was a lifelong resident of Springfield and was a graduate of Springfield High School. He worked for the IL Department of Revenue for 20 years before retiring. He loved music and was a talented drummer for many years, playing in several area bands. He also managed a few bands, including “Daddy’s Girl” and “Slick New Face”. Frank also enjoyed going to the movie theater for the newest flicks and loved his pet cats through the years.

Cremation will be arranged by Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Animal Protective League.
