Glen L. Hurley, Jr., 71, of Springfield, died at 2:18, am, Monday, December 23, 2024, at his home. He was born August 20, 1953, in Springfield, the son of Glen L. and Mary (Summers) Hurley, Sr.

He is survived by seven children, Amy Hurley of Bethalto, Shane Hurley of Collinsville, Carrie (Jeff) Baines, Mandy Hurley, Michelle (Doug) Hemberger, Eric Hurley and Nick Hurley, all of Waverly; several grandchildren; one sister, Betty Caswell of Springfield; three brothers, Terry (Jackie) Hurley of Ft. Myers, FL, Gerald (Joni Wendling) Hurley and Robert (Pam) Hurley, both of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Janice Hurley and Rhonda Krakosky; 2 brothers, Gary and Richard Hurley.

Glen was a huge Cardinals and Illini Fan. He loved REO Speedwagon and especially loved spending time with family.

The family will host a Celebration of Life at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Staab Funeral Home - Springfield to help offset funeral expenses.
