Hannah Marie Sue Hughes, a radiant and creative soul, embarked on her peaceful journey to the stars from her hometown of Springfield, IL, on the date that marked the end of an extraordinary young life filled with love and artistry. Born in Springfield on February 4, 2010, to Jon L. Hughes and Katelynn M. Cook, Hannah’s presence brought a boundless joy that will forever echo in the hearts she touched.

A current student at Lanphier High School, Hannah’s passion for creativity shone through her exceptional artistic talent. With the ability to draw and sketch anything imaginable, her artwork was a window into her beautiful spirit. An avid fisher, she surprised many with her skill in casting a net, impressing most to say the least. Her interest in makeup and hairstyling was not only a form of self-expression but also an exploration of the world around her, often drawing inspiration from the vibrant TikTok community.

The definition of a true friend, Hannah's loving and friendly nature made her a beacon of light within her circles. Her creative mind was embraced by everyone fortunate enough to know her, and her warmth was felt in every laugh shared and every memory created.

Hannah is survived by her moms, Katelynn Cook and Sabrina Hughes; dads, Jon Hughes and Kyle Hopkins; her beloved siblings, Aiden Hopkins, Leiyam Aguilar, Layne Aguilar, Vincent Hughes, Keegan Hopkins, Loukas Hughes, and Faye Hughes; grandparents, Kelly Busch, Jack & Kathy Walters, Susan Hopkins, and Ray & Karen Aguilar; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as her pet spider Kanye West.

Preceding her in death are her grandpa Randy Cook, grandma Colleen Hughes, and great-grandparents Betty and Ken Gearhart.

Hannah's journey through this world was a remarkable tapestry woven with love, friendship, and creativity, a truly well-lived life, albeit too short. As we remember her, let our hearts be filled with gratitude for the moments we shared and the beauty she created, which will continue to live on, just as her spirit will, forevermore.
