James “Jim” W. Faucon, 93, of Springfield, IL and formerly of Sherman, IL passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at his residence. He was born on December 2, 1932, in Springfield, the son of Edward and Angela (White) Faucon. He married Della Phillips on December 19, 1970, and she preceded him in death on February 27, 2001.

 Jim is survived by two children, Tracy Faucon of Springfield, IL and Debbie (Thomas) Faucon-Costello of Jupiter, FL; six grandchildren, James Hill, Genice Starwalt, Alana Dixon, Samantha Dixon, Jack Costello, and Olivia Costello; ten great-grandchildren, Ariana, Solaris, Izzy, Roman, Laniee, Sam, Millie, Kali, Nolan, and Brennan; one sister, Sharon Norris of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 Jim was preceded in death by his wife Della; two daughters, Cheryl Faucon-Hill, and Jackie Lowe; one great-grandson, Finn Hill; one brother, Tom Faucon; and one sister, Judy Grant.

 Jim proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Army. He worked as a sheet metal worker for Local 2180 where he retired in 1994 after thirty years.

 He enjoyed fishing, watching races on TV and spending time with his family.

 Visitation: 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Staab Funeral Home – Sherman.

 Funeral Service: 9:30 a.m., Friday, May 29, 2026, at Staab Funeral Home – Sherman. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.

 Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight.
